Kebony® is a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects. A revolutionary external timber product, Kebony is ideal for cladding, decking, flooring and street furniture.
Developed in Norway, the Kebony® technology is an environmentally friendly, patented process which enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid, permanently modifying the cell walls of the timber.
Choose between Kebony Clear or Kebony Character. Both have a deep brown colour that will turn into a silver/grey patina over time. The speed of this greying process depends on the intensity of exposure to sun and rain.
Kebony Clear
Kebony Clear is produced from FSC® certified Pinus Radiata. It has a clear and smooth surface giving a contemporary look and is treated through the board so can be machined as any hardwood.
Kebony Character
Kebony Character is produced from FSC® certified Pinus Sylvestris. It contains knots and untreated heartwood with a more rustic appearance. They should not be further machined of split as untreated heartwood will be exposed. End grain after cross cutting will need to be treated with an anti fungal agent / wood preserve
