Certification and collaborations

Certification

We believe that independent certification according to internationally-recognised standards provides the best assurance that timber originates from responsible managed forests and that companies along supply chain operate in a responsible way.

FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification

Widely recognised as the “gold standard” for responsible forest management, FSC enjoys support from a broad range of leading businesses and NGOs. We recognise other schemes but preference FSC where possible.

PEFC Chain of Custody certification

PEFC promotes sustainable forest management and adopts a “bottom up approach”. It is a non-profit, umbrella organisation that endorses national forest certification schemes.

BM TRADA Forest Products certification

Certification according to BM Trada Forest Products Chain of Custody standard enables us to trade other certified and legally verified material. Recognised schemes include: Bureau Veritas Origin & Legality Du Bois (OLB)

  • Rainforest Alliance Verification of Legal Compliance (VLC)
  • Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTTC)
  • Canadian Standards Association (CSA) )
  • Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)
